Anjali lives a totally normal life or as a normal life was under the British Raj. But when her mother takes a decision to join India’s freedom struggle, will she be able to overcome her internal struggles and summon the courage needed to complete her mother’s social reform work?

Supriya Kelkar has wonderfully brought to life the struggles of India’s freedom struggle.

I loved the simplicity of the language used in the book and the way the story is woven with family bonding, realisation and love for one’s motherland and the style in which the author has ended most of the chapters keep the reader thinking about it for hours to come.
